In the past I've gone a little insane...wasting my precious tears over the fact that a man didn't call me when he said he would. I should have been using up those good tears and crying over something like human injustice...but no, I sat crying my head off because he didn't get in touch with me when I wanted him to.
The man you're waiting to hear from is trying to tell you that you he's not as emotionally invested in calling you as you want him to be. He's trying to tell you that your tears would probably be more useful crying over genocide.
That you're an amazing woman who knows how to give...but not to him. Don't give him your tears if he's not calling you back. This is exactly what he wants you to know.
He's telling you that he doesn't deserve your attention. Your desire to want a connection is valid but not with him at the moment. He's trying to say that he's not emotionally available to invest in wanting anything further and if you become a high profile humanitarian or make it on a famous talk show - he will suddenly change his mind and remember that he was going to call you back.
But that's when you'll be so busy that you'd forget about the fact that he didn't have the time to remember to dial your number. You'd be too caught up in living your best life and won't give him a second thought. Well. Maybe.
