Finding a Date - 21st Century Style

We all are looking for the "right" person to eventually share our life with. Our attitudes and the way we fundamentally find a date have changed in all countries, thanks to the internet.

In Countries like Germany, over 75% of Germans admit to meeting someone through the internet. Whether it is through local chatting websites, or social networking sites like Facebook.  This has changed from the old dating techniques of meeting someone by clubbing, by accident or simply through friends.

Now with internet access growing in developing countries like China, Indonesia and in many parts of Africa. Its so easy to go online, and meet someone from anywhere in the World. Twenty-first century dating is creating a generation of "global" daters. Singles in the most remote Countries, who can freely contact each other through traditional online dating sites or simply through browsing the internet.

We all have more choice today, or perhaps an illusion of choice. In many cases we may never meet the people we like to date- if the distance is too far. But it has created a more demanding and  higher expectations from us when we look for a date.

Our lives are busier, with the relentless search for many of us to earn a living when demands on our time are far greater than before. Finding a date online has solved the problem of meeting someone, when our time is too restrictive.

Twenty-first century dating has also created a generation that know more about their potential date than before. Websites, Blogs, and social networking sites often show who people really are. And if we don't like what we see, we can simply click to somewhere else.

The way we look for a date may of changed, and for millions of on-line daters the change to meet someone away from a restrictive social circle, has created a positive step forward in their lives. However one thing that could never change, is the need for love. And this is creating a new generation of global daters.
